London Factory Open House - Isembard - Faster, Cheaper, Greener Manufacturing

LondonFactoryOpenHouse

It was great hosting friends, family and franchisees at our Isembard factory last night in London. Here is a little speech we gave on the day. Small acorns, mighty oaks as they say.

"Good evening ladies and gentleman.

Thank you for coming today.

Let us start with a quote.

Not from Isembard, but from the Bard of Avon.

…

This royal throne of kings,

this sceptered isle.

This earth of majesty,

this seat of Mars.

This other Eden, demi-paradise.

This blessèd plot,

this earth,

this realm,

this England…

Is now leased out.

I die pronouncing it.

Like to a tenement or pelting farm.

…

That was England in the 14th century.

Yet we see how history rhymes, do we not?

The fires of industry whimper.

The fires of our ambition snuffed out.

…

England is under threat.

And though we be on the far side of Park Royal.

This factory is our home.

This factory is England.

…

So its every hand to your laptop or machine.

Our software is the means,

Our franchisees are our salvation.

And after all…

the Bard…is on our side."
